This past week was a week I look forward to every year. The guys I'm blessed to fish with are more friends than clients. Patrick, Jeff and Charlie have been guests of ours for many, many years now, and they're just wonderful people. We always have a great time on and off the water...for a week that seems to go by faster and faster each year. This year was no different, I can't believe it's over already. We had a couple of days with some pretty strong winds...and over the years we've used those days to hit the golf course. This year we had the inaugural "Goby Open", which Charlie and I won convincingly! Our best days of fishing were Monday (when we took advantage of a strong south wind to drift a sharp break-line for 10 nice walleyes), and Friday (when we got into a really good smallmouth bite on Big Bay de Noc). Not only were we catching numbers of bronze-backs, but we had fish up to 19 1/2 inches. I could have taken many more pictures than I did...but the action was too good to put down my pole. I did take pictures of some of the nicer fish. Here's some of this past week's pics...good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
