Thursday the 18th was my last day fishing with the wonderful Swanson family from Manton, MI. I didn't have time to post a report because I had a million things to get done before leaving on a short camping trip Friday morning. We got on the water around 2 p.m. after the south wind started blowing pretty good. In fact...there were whitecaps on the bay when we headed out, but that's exactly the conditions I was praying for to get the fish going where I wanted to fish. We drifted with Walleyes Choice (http://www.walleyeschoice.com) floating jig heads tipped with just a half crawler. We focused on the 18 to 35 foot depths along a sharp dropoff and weedline and had a great afternoon of fishing. Everybody caught fish, and I think Tina (mom) may have caught the most. I had a lot of fun fishing with the Swanson's all week, and it sure is nice to see families enjoying the outdoors together. Here's a picture of their fish, it turned out a bit blurry, good luck from all of us in the Bays de Noc area.
