My dad and I made a trip over to the Groveland Mine Ponds today, just for a change of pace. The bass bite was much slower than normal for this time of year. I'm going to use Saturdays cold front as my excuse. We ended up landing 5 largemouth and lost 1 more. Nothing big, just average pond bass in the 10 to 14 inch range. All of them were caught on tube jigs rigged weedless, casting to downed timber along the shoreline.
FYI - the new access sites on the ponds are VERY nice, and the road going back wasn't too bad, (seen it MUCH worse.)
