I just got the word that somewhere around 7000 eight inch walleye will be planted at the north end of Little Bay de Noc. These fish are being purchased from the Soo Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Fish that size will have a very high survival rate. Right now, it looks like October 12th will be the day of the first plant. Almost $13,000.00 will be going towards this plant. This includes the $10,000.00 from the Hannahville Indian Tribe (thank you very much!!!) and the $1030.00 worth of fish "bought" in our on-line store (thank you very much too!!!). I will post an update if anything changes.

I have said for years that one way for the tribes to help the animosity is to participate in conservation activities. That is awesome!
